Adult Jiu Jitsu

Traditional Gi and No-Gi training for adults and teens 12+. Technical instruction from experienced black belts with a focus on positional control, submissions, and live rolling. All levels train together.

Hero Kids

Our 501(c)(3) non-profit providing free Jiu Jitsu training, gear, transportation, and mentorship to 150+ underserved youth in Tamarindo. Kids ages 5–17 train and develop discipline, confidence, and life skills.

Schedule: Multiple classes throughout the week including Tiny Ninjas (5–9 years) and Kids 10+
Pricing: 100% Scholorships for Costa Rican Nationals • Extranjeros (Non CR Nationals) Monthly: $75/Month $15/Class *Discounts for families

Do I need to bring my own gear? +

No. We have Gi and glove rentals available. Just bring a water bottle and mouthguard if you have one.

I've never trained before. Can I still drop in? +

Absolutely. Show up 15 minutes early, let us know it's your first time, and we'll pair you with a training partner who will help you through the class.

Are private sessions available? +

Yes. Individual and group private sessions are available, including Boxing privates. Message us on WhatsApp to schedule.

Where is Hero Academy located in Tamarindo? +

We're located in central Tamarindo, walking distance from the beach and main town. Message us for exact directions.

Do you sell Hero merchandise? +

Yes. We have men's and women's shirts and tank tops, rash guards, beach towels, and stickers available for purchase—perfect souvenirs from your time training in Tamarindo.
